As we approach the end of 2011, we are also approaching the conclusion of the formal phase of “The Best Is Yet To Come” campaign which was launched in the spring of 2008.
This capital funds campaign was created and implemented to secure resources to eliminate the Church’s debt while at the same time purchase 22 acres of land adjacent to our Church property for $3.2 million, which was formally owned by the Ohio School for the Death Alumni Association. Over the course of this Campaign, 337 giving units pledged a total of $3.15 million and to-date over $2.8 million has been received from these faithful members and friends of our Church who have given so sacrificially. Almost 71% of the giving units have completed their pledge and many have continued to contribute to the campaign.
Other giving units are still making contributions towards their pledge totals. When one considers our Church’s response to this campaign during some of the toughest economic times since the Great Depression, we can only attribute this as a testament to God’s abundance and providence. Contributions continue to be collected for this campaign and a final report will be delivered to the congregation early in the new year. (updated 11/28/2011)
