Youth Basketball and Dance/Cheer

Basketball Teams Cheer/Dance Teams

Co-ed basketball teams are offered for grades K-1 and 2-3. As much as possible, separate boys and girls teams will be offered for grades 4-6.
1 hour basketball practices are held between 4:00-9:00 PM once a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, (younger age practices are held at the earlier time slots).

There are cheer/dance teams for girls in grades 1-6.
1 hour cheer/dance practices are held between
5:30 PM and 8:30 PM once a week on Monday nights only.




Registration and Fees

The deadline for registration has been extended to January 4, 2014. A $10.00 late fee will be added to all late payments. Each child must be registered separately. Forms can be dropped off or mailed to the church office or completed online by visiting and typing the keyword “basketball.” Please note your child’s name when registering.

Fees include the cost of a reversible basketball jersey, or a shirt and pom- poms (for cheer/dance).  Exact payments can be brought to the church office between 9:00-5:00 or mailed to the address below. Checks should be made out to CCPC with a memo of “MVP” Online payments can be made by visiting the website listed above.

  • Basketball-If you register and pay AFTER October 17, 2013 the cost is $75.
  • Cheer/Dance –the cost is $75.
  • The max cost per family per season is $140 for any sport.

All games will be played on Saturdays between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
The first game will be played Saturday February 1, 2014.

Players will have their pictures taken individually and as a team on
Saturday February 15, 2014.
All players will receive an award at the end of the season. More information will follow.

An important informational meeting for parents will be held on SUNDAY, JANUARY 5th - 2pm in Ballard Hall. At least one parent or guardian for each child must be present. Schedules will be handed out at these meetings.

The purpose of Sports and Recreation here at Central College Presbyterian Church is: 

  • to create opportunities for the community of believers to get together in fellowship

  • Provides an opportunity for fellowship and to strengthen Christ-centered relationships
  • To provide top quality events and programs that are Christ honoring
