Responsive Call to Worship (Psalm 18):

Leader: We love you, LORD, our strength.
People: The LORD is our rock, our fortress and our deliverer; our God is our rock, in whom we take refuge, our shield and the horn of our salvation, our stronghold.
Leader: In our distress we call to the LORD; we cry to our God for help. From his temple he hears our voices; our cry comes before him, into his ears.
People: For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?
Leader: It is God who arms us with strength and keeps our way secure.
People: The LORD lives! Praise be to our Rock! Exalted be God our Savior!

O Worship the King All Glorious Above | vs. 1,2,4,5

O worship the King, all glorious above,
O gratefully sing God's power and God's love;
Our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days,
Pavilioned in splendor, and girded with praise.

O tell of God's might, O sing of God's grace,
Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space.
His chariots of heav'n the deep thunderclouds form,
And bright is God's path on the wings of the storm.

Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.

Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
In You do we trust, nor find You to fail;
Your mercies how tender, how firm to the end,
Our maker, defender, redeemer, and friend.

Unison and Silent Prayers of Confession

O Lord our God, you know us better than we know ourselves. As we come before you now, believers and doubters alike, we all share a deep need, for we are all lost without your grace. Search us, O God, and know our hearts, test us and know our troubled thoughts. Give us true repentance. Forgive us all our wrongs. Transform us by your Spirit to live for you each day, to learn to serve each other and, through the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord, to come at last to heaven.

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross | vs. 2

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
save in the death of Christ, my God;
all the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to his blood. Amen.

Be Still, My Soul | vs. 1,2

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on your side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to our God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: our best, our heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: our God will undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Our hope, our confidence, let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Tyler Tucker

Praise God from whom all blessing flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host:
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Come Christians, Join to Sing

Come, Christians, join to sing, "Alleluia! Amen!"
Loud praise to Christ our King; Alleluia! Amen!
Let all, with heart and voice, Before His throne rejoice;
Praise is His gracious choice; Alleluia! Amen!

Come, lift your hearts on high; Alleluia! Amen!
Let praises fill the sky; Alleluia! Amen!
He is our guide and friend; To us He’ll condescend;
His love shall never end; Alleluia! Amen!

Praise yet our Christ again; Alleluia! Amen!
Life shall not end the strain; Alleluia! Amen!
On heaven’s blissful shore His goodness we’ll adore,
Singing forevermore, “Alleluia! Amen!”
